This privacy policy ("Policy") outlines the rules and guidelines regarding the handling of personal data on Framtidsverket AB's websites (virtualcareerdays.se and event.virtualdays.com/vcd). The Policy describes how personal data is collected, how it is used, how users have control over their personal data, and how they can contact the responsible party with questions. The Policy applies to all sections of the website.

§ 2. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to provide users of the website with information about how their personal data may be handled on the website.

§ 3. Definition of Personal Data
Personal data refers to any information that, either directly or indirectly, can identify a living person. Direct personal data is information that can independently identify a person, while indirect personal data can identify a person when combined with other data.

§ 4. Consent
a) Obtaining Consent
To process personal data, consent must first be obtained from the website's users. The consent should be informative and clear so that all users understand its meaning.

We obtain consent in the following ways:

  • By allowing visitors to accept cookies when entering the website.

  • By agreeing to the storage of personal data through the forms on the website.

b) Withdrawing Consent
A user who has given consent can withdraw it at any time in the following way:

c) Right to Erasure
Once consent has been withdrawn, the user can also request that their information be deleted from the website’s servers. This can be done via email to info@framtidsverket.com.

§ 5. Processing of Personal Data
a) Personal Data Processed
The following personal data is collected on the website and processed by us:

  • Personal data provided in any of our forms. Typically, we request your name, email address, and phone number.

Personal data is stored and processed for the following purposes:

  • To communicate with you.

c) Sharing Personal Data
When you use our services, we may share personal data with others:

  • With exhibitors to inform them if you are interested in a specific product, service, or organization, for example, if you have expressed interest or visited a digital booth.

  • With suppliers who provide services on our behalf, such as hosting, sending emails, marketing, and enabling chat with us.

  • With authorities that require certain information, such as the Swedish Tax Agency.

  • With companies within our group to provide our services to you. We only share your personal data with parties that process data within the EU/EEA or with parties who are required to maintain the same level of protection as is offered within the EU/EEA in accordance with GDPR (so-called standard contractual clauses). Contact us if you would like to learn more.

Virtual Days AB, which operates the website platform, has access to the data you provide on the site, but they will not use or distribute this data in any way.

d) Data Retention Period
Personal data will only be stored as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

§ 6. Security and Encryption
The website has an SSL certificate (Secure Socket Layer) to ensure that users' personal data is transferred securely and confidentially through encryption. The website has also implemented appropriate security measures to prevent personal data stored on the site from being lost or used improperly or illegally. Access to the collected personal data is restricted to authorized personnel, and the information will be treated confidentially.
If a personal data breach occurs, the affected user will be notified, and the Swedish Data Protection Authority will be informed.

§ 7. Users' Rights
a) Right to Access
After giving consent, website users have the right to request a record confirming whether their personal data is being processed. If the personal data is being processed, users have the right to access it.
To request a record, contact us by email at info@framtidsverket.com.
The record will be provided in writing, either digitally or by mail.

b) Right to Information and Rectification
After giving consent, users have the right to contact us to find out what personal data is stored and request corrections of inaccurate information. If any information is missing, users also have the right to supplement it.

c) Right to Restriction of Processing
In certain cases, a person whose personal data is being processed may request that the processing be restricted. This can apply, for example, when the person has already requested rectification due to inaccurate data. During this period, the processing of the incorrect data can be restricted.

d) Data Portability
In certain cases, a person who has provided personal data has the right to have that data transferred to another service, such as a media service. The party that initially received the personal data should facilitate the transfer.

e) Right to Object
In certain cases, a person has the right to object to how their personal data is processed. This applies when the personal data is processed to perform a task of public interest, as part of official authority, or after a balancing of interests.

f) Right to Erasure
Website users have the right to have their personal data erased if desired. There are exceptions to this right, but in the following cases, data must be erased:

  • If the data is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected.

  • If consent is withdrawn.

  • If the personal data is used for direct marketing and the user objects.

  • If there are no legitimate grounds for retaining the data that outweigh the individual's interest in having the information erased.

  • If the personal data has been processed unlawfully.

  • If erasure is required to fulfill a legal obligation.

  • If the personal data was collected in connection with a minor creating a profile on a social network.

g) Automated Decision-Making
Users have the right not to be subject to automated decisions, if such decisions could have legal consequences for the individual or similarly affect them significantly.

h) Identification
If a user requests information or requests that their data be erased, they must be identified. This is done by:

  • Using the email address related to the matter.

i) Complaints
If a user believes that their personal data is being processed in violation of GDPR on the website, they can file a complaint with us in the first instance and with the Swedish Data Protection Authority in the second.

j) Compensation
In a situation where a user's personal data has been processed in violation of GDPR, there may be a right to compensation. Claims for compensation can be filed in a general court, with the district court as the first instance.
