Founding Full-Stack Tech Lead
Remote-first (Stockholm preferred but not required)
About the Job
Virtual Days is rebuilding our platform on a clean and scalable architecture, with a strong focus on AI-powered web development. We are looking for a Founding Full-Stack Tech Lead to own the technical direction and build core features of our next-generation product.
You will work hands-on using modern AI tools such as Claude Code and Cursor to increase development speed and quality. This is a role with high ownership, close collaboration with the founders, and the opportunity to influence both product and engineering culture from day one.
We prefer candidates based in Stockholm, where we can offer a hybrid setup from our centrally located office, but remote-first applies for the right profile. Success in this role means defining a strong architecture, shipping high-quality solutions across the full stack, and helping shape a platform used by thousands of candidates and employers.
Responsibilities

Design and lead the platform architecture and implementation.

Work with AI-assisted tools to increase development speed and quality.

Develop core features across Next.js, TypeScript, React, C#, .NET 9 and GraphQL.

Extend our backend including authentication, SSO, admin portal and real-time chat.

Collaborate closely with founders, product and a remote engineering team.
Requirements

Strong experience with C# and .NET

Strong experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript

Experience with Kubernetes or k3s
-
Experience with Postgres (pgbouncer is a plus)

Solid understanding of software architecture and system design

Comfortable working across backend and frontend

Experience with or openness to GraphQL

Proven ability to build scalable web applications

Hands-on mindset with strong ownership

Comfortable working independently and driving development

Interest in AI-assisted development workflows
Preferred Qualifications

Strong experience with Next.js and TypeScript.

Strong experience with C# and .NET.

Experience with Kubernetes or k3s and Postgres.

Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
